Although the BOTT XR1 kit is not officially on sale yet, we are building a few “trial production” units which will be sold to customers with high mechanical skills. We want them to assembly their XR1 and give us their feedback to help us to improve our product. The first kit is already built and ready to be shipped to his owner in the United States. In this case the customer wanted the fueltank and the se
Last 14th of February we took profit that all the World Championship Moto2 and Moto3 teams were testing in Valencia (they spent 3 days training there) to organize a small test with Anthony West riding the BOTT XR1 in Cheste circuit. We arranged the test at 5 in the afternoon, once the official IRTA tests were finished. We rented the track for half hour, it wasn’t possible to rent it for more time because there
Here you have the video of the XR1 first test we did in Albaida track some weeks ago. We want to thank Alex Martinez, the rider, who rode fast and safe. Also the guys of Agarra aire, for filming and editing the video, and to Edsol Records for providing the music and work with the sound. The video is available in HD both in Youtube and Vimeo.
In Bottpower we have a recurrent conversation theme, which is to build a high performance street superbike (also for the track, of course), with a modern 1000 cc. engine and high level components. A bike that would allow us to take the maximun profit of the electronics we are developing (which are already competing in 2013 World Supersport championship with Gabor Talmacsi). As you probably know, in Bottpower we alway
On the 31 of January we tested the XR1 for the very first time. For this test we chose a karting track in Albaida (a small town in the East of Spain), because unlike most kartings, this one is not very slow and it has some fast sections. Several world championship riders come here to practice supermoto. We were very lucky with the weather, we had a sunny day, without any wind and with a spring-like temperature. Ramón
Last week we had a 2 days test in Almeria circuit (South-East of Spain), with Prorace Honda Team and Gabor Talmacsi. We continued with the Bottpower CR2 electronics tests. Weather was unpleasant, with strong wind. Anyway Gabor rode a lot of laps and we continued going ahead with the set up work, with good resoults. Here you have a short video, two on board laps in Almería track, with Gabor Talmacsi riding his Honda C
During the 3rd and 4th of January, world SuperSport team Prorace Honda arranged a test in Jerez to test our Bottpower CR-2 electronic module. The CR-2 is a calculus module (it is also a powerful data-logger) 100% developed in Bottpower. It is a hardware and software package designed to develop strategies (for example traction control, drive by wire, engine braking, fuel consumption control, etc). After 2 days of test
After several months working hard on this project, finally we can show the first BOTT XR1 pictures! As you already know, this project started when Ramón Bellosta ordered us to build this bike. He had a clear idea of the aesthetics the bike should have. I think that the final bike is quite close to the first renders we made months ago. Here you can compare a render with a real photo of the bike. The main difference is
