The colors of this BOTT XR1 are inspired by one of the most important motorcycles in Bottpower’s history.
In 2017, we entered the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb with the BOTT XR1R. Kriega was the main sponsor of the project and supported us throughout the entire Pikes Peak adventure.
Almost ten years later, that relationship is still as strong as ever.
This XR1 was built as a tribute to that long-standing collaboration. Its graphics are directly inspired by the Pikes Peak XR1R and are based on the original design created by Piers Spencer-Phillips from Derestricted.

One of the most distinctive features of this livery is the zig-zag graphic on the fuel tank. Its shape was inspired by some of the winding sections of the Pikes Peak road, creating a subtle visual connection with the mountain where the original XR1R competed.
Although the graphics are clearly inspired by that race bike, our goal was not to build an exact replica. We wanted the motorcycle to have a particularly clean and minimalist appearance. That is why the number plates remain blank and, in fact, the Bottpower name does not appear anywhere on the motorcycle.

This particular XR1 also features several details worth mentioning.
For the first time, we have installed a belly pan on an XR1. Interestingly, it is the spare belly pan that we used for the Pikes Peak race bike. The response from our followers has been so positive that we decided to create a mould to put it into production. We are currently working on it and hope to make it available in the future for other XR1s and even directly for the various Buell XB models.

The motorcycle is also equipped with one of our TA·KE composite handlebars and an Öhlins TTX shock absorber developed specifically for the XR1.

As with many of our XR1 builds, we kept some of the original Buell components that we like the most, including the stock wheels and the distinctive perimeter front brake system. The eight-piston front brake caliper provides very powerful braking performance and also contributes to the mechanical, purposeful appearance that we always look for in our motorcycles.

The result is an XR1 that combines some of our latest components with elements that are part of Bottpower’s history.
We would like to thank the entire Kriega team for their support throughout all these years.
