Together with our partner Technical Composites, we have developed two new carbon fiber parts for the BOTT XR1. First one is the top fueltank. The other part is the seat/tail. This is our new design with two integrated number plates, one at each side. Both parts are fabricated using an autoclave, this provides a superb quality that you feel when you have the parts in your hands. The XR1 kit default seat and fueltank a
After showing the BOTT XR1, we received some emails asking if it was possible to mount the front number plate with the two headlights on a Buell XB. Rodrigo from Madrid wanted to go a little bit ahead and he asked us to customize his Buell XB in order to make it look as much as possible as a BOTT XR1, but without making big modifications. This is the result, we named it BOTT XR2. We added a front XR1 numberplate, wit
Although the BOTT XR1 kit is not officially on sale yet, we are building a few “trial production” units which will be sold to customers with high mechanical skills. We want them to assembly their XR1 and give us their feedback to help us to improve our product. The first kit is already built and ready to be shipped to his owner in the United States. Sideburn magazine has published a really cool 7 pages article about the BOTT XR1 in their issue #13. The article photos are from Kristina Fender. We are really happy about how everything came out!!
Last 14th of February we took profit that all the World Championship Moto2 and Moto3 teams were testing in Valencia (they spent 3 days training there) to organize a small test with Anthony West riding the BOTT XR1 in Cheste circuit. Also the guys of Agarra aire, for filming and editing the video, and to Edsol Records for providing the music and work with the sound. The video is available in HD both in Youtube and Vimeo.
In Bottpower we have a recurrent conversation theme, which is to build a high performance street superbike (also for the track, of course), with a modern 1000 cc. engine and high level components. A bike that would allow us to take the maximun profit of the electronics we are developing (which are already competing in 2013 World Supersport championship with Gabor Talmacsi). As you probably know, in Bottpower we alway
On the 31 of January we tested the XR1 for the very first time. For this test we chose a karting track in Albaida (a small town in the East of Spain), because unlike most kartings, this one is not very slow and it has some fast sections. Several world championship riders come here to practice supermoto. We were very lucky with the weather, we had a sunny day, without any wind and with a spring-like temperature. Ramón
